The rock crystal-clear water, the majestic view of the Rieserferner and the Dolomites, the tranquillity. Most of all would like to to remain the whole summer here, like Schorsch the dairy farmer. Opportunities to return are many.

Hay harvest
Our Grenter Almwiesen is steep, so steep that the hay must be harvested by manual work. Thanks to the many voluntary aides it is still possible to harvest according to old traditional way. „Hay carriers" and „Hay raking" are always welcome. After finished work we start with the „fresh mountain hay hopping“!
Bring the cattle on the alp
Already days before our cows leave the stable, they feel it, being back on the pastures. On „the Grenten Alm“ they expect fresh grass and refreshing spring water. It is an adventure each year when it comes to climbing the 900m to the higher pastures, where they spend the summer.
Alp returning
If the summer season passes without incident for human and animal it is tradition to celebrate the return of the cows from the high slopes. The celebration involves music and dance, while the cows are decorated with bells and flowers. To the offers
